I find the best way to make a layover feel like 10-second nap, or your flight faster than an episode of The Office, is to get lost in the pages of a good book and fully immerse yourself in your imagination. Continue reading “MY TOP 5 TRAVEL READS OF 2018”

We celebrate birthdays and holidays a bit differently in our family; we prefer experiences over things. Experiences define you, shape you and make our lives the unique stories that we get to share.  Continue reading “DISNEY B-DAY BASH 2018”

HITTING GOLD: THE CANDY BANK IS A MANDEVILLE GEM

Louisiana is home for now, and she is quite famous for her unyielding heat and suffocating humidity. I mean, my plants this year didn’t stand a chance, and I’m pretty sure my pathetic basil plant with one leaf is a pity gesture from God. Regardless, when you are able to find a piece of heaven, real, sweet, indulgent heaven, you scream ‘Bless it’ from the top of your lungs and take it to the bank… the Candy Bank! I crave the feeling of my lungs completely expanding with the clean mountain air, and my mind finally clear and free. Continue reading “SEATTLE TO VANCOUVER: 5 DAYS OF WINTER BLISS”

For the record, anyone who says the English have terrible food, must have only eaten at McDonalds. In my experience, I didn’t find that there was an “English” cuisine per se; it was entirely international…and outrageously delicious! Continue reading “2 DAYS IN BATH: THE TASTIEST ITINERARY”

VENICE, VERONA AND VEGGIE PIZZA

VENICE, VERONA AND VEGGIE PIZZA

We went to Italy back in April and I learned a valuable lesson…blog while visiting! Seriously, I’m sitting here now with a fresh cup of coffee, trying to remember what Venice was like three months ago, and all I can tell you is that I had the best pizza I’ve ever had in my entire life, and the JW Marriott’s spa was heaven on earth. Oh, and ‘real talk’, the city was a beautiful, crazy, frustrating maze with a million bridges that either took you to your destination or a dead-end. Get lost if you can, it’s fun.
